If you would like to join our library online, please complete the form below and we will set you up with an account, and email you a username and password to enable you to view your account and reserve books from our catalogue.

Alternatively, you can come into the library and sign up with a volunteer librarian.

Anyone living, working or studying in Hampshire can become a member of Fair Oak Community Library and membership is free.

Members enjoy access to our choice of fiction and non-fiction titles, for both adults and children.

You can sign up in person at the library, or you can fill in our online form and you will be emailed your account username and password.

You can browse the library catalogue at home via our website.

If you are under 16 you will need to provide details of a guarantor to join the library.

Parents can access their child’s account online by asking for a library password to be set up in branch. They can then use their child’s library card and password to access the account to renew or reserve.

 

Terms of Membership

Borrowing: adults and children may borrow up to four books at a time. This figure will increase once the circulation system has been running for a few months (from opening).

The standard loan period for all books is 28 days.

If you are a parent or carer you can also join your child/children and take four books each out in their name.

Renewals: you can renew items a maximum of twice either online, by phone or in person at the library. You will not be able to renew an item if it is has been reserved by another reader.

There is a letter box at the side of the library and books can be posted there when the library is closed and will be handled on the next opening day.

Membership can be suspended if you have overdues items and outstanding charges.

All costs incurred by the library due to items lost or damaged while in your care must be reimbursed.

If you change your address (home or email) or name please notify us immediately via email, website or at the library.

Membership details are confidential and will not be disclosed to other parties.

Our data will only be used to process your membership and provide you with information about your membership. It will not be shared with third parties. Your data will be retained for a maximum of two years from the expiry date of your membership.
