Fair Oak Community Library 200 Club Rules
Purpose
The purpose of the 200 Club is to raise funds for Fair Oak Community Library (Registered Charity Number 1192709). The money will be paid into the Fair Oak Community Library bank account and used to meet running costs and to provide books and equipment for Fair Oak Community Library.
Rules
1. For a cost of £2 per month (i.e. per draw) members will be allocated one number between one and 200. They will receive an electronic ticket showing the entry number.
2. If all 200 tickets are sold a waiting list will be maintained.
3. A draw will be made every month with a 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize.
4. The prizes will total 50% of the monthly income.
5. This will be apportioned as follows: 1st prize of 60%, 2nd prize of 30% and 3rd prize of 10% of the monthly prize money.
6. The Fair Oak Community Library 200 Club is a small society lottery and is open to all members, volunteers and friends of Fair Oak Community Library. Members must be aged 16 or over to join.
7. Payments must be made by standing order (monthly or annually) or annually by bank transfer or card payment. One month’s notice is required for cancellation.
8. Member’s numbers will only be entered if their subscription is up to date.
9. If a member has no valid reason for missing a payment, their number may be sold to someone on the reserve list.
10. The draw shall be made by a Trustee in the Library on the morning of the third Wednesday of each month.
11. Winnings will be paid by bank transfer to the bank account shown on the member’s application form, within one week of the draw.
12. The name and numbers for each month’s winners will be displayed on the Library notice board and posted on the Library Facebook page and website.
13. The 200 club will be run by the Trustees of Fair Oak Community Library. In case of any dispute the decision of the Trustees is final.
14. Unless otherwise advised, a member will be deemed to have left the 200 club if their subscription renewal remains unpaid for a period of one month.
15. If a winner cannot be contacted, the winnings will be placed into Library funds after six months.
